Every winter since 1983, the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, staffed and directed by students at Harvard University, has provided food, housing, and a friendly, supportive environment for two dozen men and women each night during the five coldest months of the year.

The Harvard Square Homeless Shelter Corporation is a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the Shelter through fundraising and advocacy.

Recent event: On Wednesday, March 5, 2008, Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government hosted a panel discussion of homelessness in Cambridge in observance of the Shelter's 25th anniversary.
